My Story

Rocky was hit by a car. A good Samaritan took him to the emergency clinic, but unfortunately, since no one took responsibility for the cost of emergency care, Rocky was sent to the animal shelter where he was going to be euthanized.

Luckily for Rocky, the shelter rescue coordinator contacted PAWS of Austin. PAWS took Rocky out with the intention to have him get the care and treatments he needs. Initial diagnosis was: internal injuries, nerve damage and fractured hip. After x-rays were done, we found out that Rocky has a shattered pelvis.

On June 16th Rocky had an FHO surgery. He is making a remarkable recovery. Once Rocky is fully recovered from the surgery, he will be scheduled to have Heartworm treatment. He will then be ready for a new life in a new loving home.
