ROCKY HAS BEEN ADOPTED THANKS TO A GRAYSON KY FAMILY!
Rocky is a male Basenji/Jack Russell Terrier mix estimated at 1 year of age. Rocky could possibly be mixed with raccoon (just kidding!) with the black patches around his eyes like those found on a raccoon! Rocky was found in the Aaron Branch area of Lawrence Co and after no one claimed him for a few days, he was brought to the shelter for his safety
. Rocky is small in size, weighing around 16 lbs, and he is the long legged variety of Jack Russell. He has the ears and face more common to the Basenji breed and though he does bark, he only does so as needed to get attention of people coming through the shelter or when playing with the other dogs. His body is more like that of the Jack Russell or Parsons Russell Terrier. This is a really sweet dog with no issues that we have seen. He also doesn't possess the hyperness of a lot of Jacks.
