Roamer

ROAMER Roamer got his name due to a long adventure. He is about 11 months old and thought to be a Chow mix. He has a great personality and is really happy to be inside and out of the cold. The local animal control and his previous foster mom had been trying to catch Roamer and his sister for about 3 weeks. Before they caught them, some cold hearted person thought it would be fun to chase them with their car and ran the sister down and killed her. It was quite obvious when there were car tracks in the grass doing a circle pattern around where she was killed that this was a purposeful event. It was a very sad day! So you can see why Roamer was running from people. Finally, he gave in and let them catch him. Or so we thought! We think maybe he slowed down due to the severe infection caused by the bullet wound in the back of his neck. Roamer is now doing well after a heavy dose of antibiotics and some TLC. Despite all this poor dog has gone through, he never once gave a growl or resisted any treatment that we had to do to make him well. Now this happy guy is prancing next to our sides like he is the happiest dog around. Roamer is currently being fostered in a home with both male and female dogs, a cat and birds and is getting along well with everyone. Roamer is crate trained and does not make a sound while he is in there. He will even go in there on his own for a nice nap, so it will be important for his new home to have a crate. He has not chewed anything nor has he had any accidents in the house. He is a really great dog, who is looking for a permanent home, so he can be showered with love, and forget all about his awful past.
