My Story

ADOPTED! - Ringo was an unclaimed stray whom we rescued from the Animal Control facility just in the nick of time. Weighing about 18 lbs., he is a very sweet, smart, sensitive, dog who--as you can see--LOVES kids who treat him gently. Ringo is such a great dog that we can't figure out why his previous owners never came to claim him at the pound. We estimate his age to be a little less than a year, and we are guessing he may be part Corgi (and possibly Terrier or Chihuahua)--with a dash of Basenji, because he sometimes "sings" instead of barking! As a young adult, Ringo is the age to begin training him just the way you want, while not having the housebreaking worries associated with adopting a puppy. We would prefer that Ringo not be a latchkey dog, so an adopter who works out of the home, is retired, or works part time would be our preference. Ringo is very gentle and loving, but he also loves to run and play so he needs a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and he would also enjoy another doggie playmate. Ringo has been immunized for rabies, distemper and bordatella, is heartworm negative, and he has been neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. We invite you to watch Ringo's slide show that accompanies this Petfinder write-up. Then, if you are interested in adopting Ringo, please send us a note telling us a little about yourself. Once we have determined that Ringo would be a good fit for you and your family, we can e-mail you an adoption application. Our e-mail address is: [email protected]
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
