My Story

Let me introduce you to Renny!

Are you looking for a pint sized rottie to go running with or to take to agility classes??? Then this girl is for you. She weighed 62 pounds at the vet this morning and she would LOVE to be your running partner. Read below for more information about this pocket sized rottie.

Renny’s name is an Irish Name that means the Little Prosperous One. Rottweilers come in all shapes and sizes. Renny is what we would call a pocket rott. To those individuals who are looking for a dog to go running with, to take to agility classes, this is the girl for you. She might be pint sized but it’s easier on the dog if they are smaller versus lugging around 110 pounds. This sweet natured girl had her Guardian Angel looking out for her. The same guardian angel at the Animal Control (who saw Saxton the rott) saw this pint sized love bug and gave us a call. Renny was found in a backyard and the individual called and said she wandered in and would not leave.

We have reason to believe that the same individual was indeed her owner. We do not know why people do this, and the only person who would know is that person. Dogs are loyal, affectionate animals that make lifelong members of a family. But too many times people grow tired of a dog before they realize that these animals are so smart. Rottweilers have the desire to work. Whether that be competing in agility competitions or carting or herding. Rottweilers thrive with formal obedience, daily walks and boundaries and consistency.

Renny is a one year old female Rottweiler who is looking for her forever home. She needs to have the commitment of an individual to love her until she is old and grey. Renny also needs to go to formal obedience so that you may realize her potential. She does not know any formal commands. I can only guess that her owner left her outside as her coat has not been brushed in ages. She is the most affectionate pocket rott. When I first met her she climbed into my lap and put her head under my arm pit. Hoping to shut out the barking dogs and to just sit and be petted. She takes treats very gently and is starving for attention.

If you have a fenced in yard, home owners insurance that covers rottweilers, children over the age of 8 please feel free to apply for Renny. Renny extremely sweet and loving, but due to her lack of formal obedience and her need for attention it would be best to have a person who wants to be her FOREVER home apply.

Have I told you how sweet this pocket rott is?

Do you have room in your home for a special addition to your family? Please fill out an application for Renny and her foster family will be in touch.
