My name is Remus but you can call me Remy. I’m a 6 year old male “mega mutt” according to my DNA results; a small percentage of German Shepard (12.5%) and chihuahua (12.5%). I weigh 47 pounds - I’m mostly soft fluffy fur! My parents rescued me from an overcrowded shelter in Mexico in November 2018. Since then, I’ve been in a loving home with lots of swimming, cuddles, and running around the backyard. I am house trained, know basic commands, and won’t chew on anything that’s not a bone/toy. I’m am super loyal and protective to my humans. I love to play catch in the house and sometimes the backyard. I think going on car rides is the best! My amazing humans had a baby about a year ago and I’m not adjusting. Despite management strategies and working with a professional trainer, my anxiety is heightened and I’m not the happy pup I used to be. My parents adore me and are heartbroken to lose me, but they know I deserve a home where I can roam around without gates. I love to play with other dogs, but do best with females. I’m also friendly with cats and love older children (12+), just not the littles. With my anxiety, I prefer to be uncrated - I feel trapped in a crate.
