Rascal

8/5/24: Rascal is estimated to be about 7-10 (Mature adult dog), and weighs 13lbs. When found, he appeared to have never been inside before as he was afraid of the flooring and of being on the couch and beds/any squishy surface, BUT he is now comfortable, has learned his house manners very well, and is reliable being at home up to 6 hours without a potty break or confinement. He is crate trained as well and sleeps either in the crate or will sleep on the bed. He is okay with other dogs who are not too playful, but would probably prefer a home with a small dog or no other dogs. He is fine with cats who leave him alone. He would be good with children 5+ who can understand when he tells you he wants his space. He isn't a big fan of play, he LOVES food though and is highly food motivated. He does a "happy dance" at feeding times. He uses food puzzle toys pretty expertly with his tiny paws. He is VERY FUNNY - the faces he makes, the way he moves and throws his body around, etc are all VERY funny and cute. He's a little comedian. He loves to chew on bully sticks and collagen sticks, but has never chewed any toy we've given him or household item. No destructive tendencies that we've observed. He loves to cuddle and nap, and will be a great house dog for somebody. Please let us know if you'd like to meet him! He'll go to his adopter with some basic supplies and his crate.
