Rambo is a beautiful 5 yr old neutered solid black male German Shepherd. His family had to relocate to NYC due to work. They sadly surrendered him to us to find him a new home. Rambo is a big puppy at heart. He doesn't realize he weighs in at 100lbs. He does great with other dogs, but is not fond of small animals. We believe he will be very protective of his home and family, he alerts when he hears noises outside or when someone comes into the yard that he does not know. Rambo is very content to just hang out with his people. He loves to play and fetch his Kong toys. He has pretty good house manners and he is doing much better on with counter surfing. He is house broken and crate trained, up to date on his vetting and neutered. Rambo has earned the right to sleep anywhere he likes in the master bedroom, with the other dogs in in the residence. He knows it is not playtime and settles in for a nice quiet night.
Rambo needs a home that has experience with GSDs. He is not very socialized and needs someone with German Shepherd experience. He will begin lessons with a professional trainer in the coming week. An experienced GSD owner will be readily able to continue working with Rambo and help him further refine his manors.
