Rainy Day

Meet Rainy Day! Rainy Day is a 9-month-old German Shepherd/Husky/Lab mix. He currently weighs about 80 pounds but still has about 3 months left of growing to do. Rainy Day came from a home in Newton where his family needed help looking to find forever homes, not only for him, but for his siblings too. Rainy Day is a very sweet boy that is excited to get attention but who is also learning how to be a normal dog, as they grew up mainly being outside dogs. Rainy would highly benefit with some professional and in person training to help him learn basic skills that he can use for his socialization and bonding with his new family. Since they grew up around many of their siblings, we recommend another dog in the home to help them build confidence, but it is not required. Since they were mainly raised outside, they have not had a lot of experience with being leash walked, so a fenced in yard will be required for them at this time. They have not yet been introduced to cats, but if interested in potentially adopting, we would be happy to cat test and see their reactions to them. They would love to have proper introductions with any resident children in the home, as they did not grow up around them. They could become excited with meeting new people, so there is a chance that they could jump up to greet, or potentially knock over young children. They would do best in a home that is patient, willing to show them new things, and one that will have time to help express their energy!
