Rafiki

Rafiki is a special boy who needs a family looking for a special someone to love. Rafiki was surrendered to us by a woman who found him as a stray multiple months prior. Under her care he was having untreated seizures regularly- and she couldn’t find a shelter or rescue that was willing to help him until making contact with us. We took Rafiki in- and it’s been a VERY long road getting his seizures under control. And they are still only 98% controlled. He is with a wonderful foster home but they have a very active dog household and Rafiki needs a calmer house. His seizure activity appears to increase when he gets overstimulated. He would do best with no dogs or another calm dog in the household. He is both house and crate trained, as well as nondestructive (except the occasional stuffie)! Rafiki requires fenced backyard. His favorite thing are to snuggle on the couch and play with his stuffies, squeaky toys, and benebones. Rafiki to even takes his stuffies with him to potty ??! This guy wants a quiet calm life- with someone who isn’t scared of a little special in their life. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
