My Story

What we know about Quinn: Approx 5 years old Female (spayed) 85lbs (she does need to lose about 5-10lbs) HW+, but has completed fast kill HW treatment her last injection was 4/18/24. She will be retested for HW in 6 months (NKGC will cover this) She is also on monthly HW prevention. UTD on shots On flea/tick preventative House trained Crate trained Dog friendly (she’s been in homes with both large and smaller (25-30lb) dogs) Has met a few older children and does great with them! Walks great on a leash NO CATS OR OTHER SMALL CRITTERS Quinn is the SWEETEST GIRL! She LOVES people and loves getting attention from people. This girl has been through so much! She was brought into our local animal control after being hit by a car. That’s when they called us, No Kill Glynn County, to save her. One of her back legs was severely broken and out of the socket at the hip. She has had surgery on both her hip and her knee, both of which were successful, and while she does have a different “gait” than most dogs, she moves around well and has been medically cleared from that surgery! During that surgery, we discovered that she also had been shot as she has a bunch of BBs embedded in her head/neck and chest area. We have been told to leave those as they are not causing her any pain or issue. We only tell you, so you can better understand her story and when you are petting her, sometimes you will feel a BB. You can also see in some of her pictures that part of Quinn’s head is mis-shaped. This has also been looked at and deemed not an issue for her. This likely comes from blunt force trauma to the head, likely when she was hit by the car. This does not hurt her, not does it cause her any kind of issues, all it does is make her more unique. For a dog who has been through so much trauma in her life… you’d never know it. She is the sweetest and most loving dog. She is not a dog that is going to be someone’s running buddy, or hiking buddy, just because of the trauma from being hit by a car. But if you are looking for a best friend, a cuddle buddy, or a low-key adventure buddy, she is the perfect dog for you! If you think Quinn could be the perfect addition to your family, you can fill out an adoption application here: https://form.jotform.com/203216945213146 *Please be patient with us. We are a 100% volunteer-based rescue. Once we receive an application, we will look over the app and check references and get back in touch with you.*
