He’s playful and enjoys toys or playing with his furfriends, but after that it’s all about cuddles. He was rescued from the shelter out of Texas and was understandably a little shy and scared at first, but he very quickly opened up and after just a couple days he was part of the family at his foster home. He loves his foster fursiblings, they play often and when they wear each other out they can be found either cuddled together or napping on top of eachother. Quetzal will need another dog in the home of similar size and energy as well as a fenced yard. He’s been fostered with cats, and while he does well with reinforcement, he does want to chase and bark in the beginning. He’s does very well in the car and really enjoyed a trip to the beach, he would love a family who will include him on outings and walks. Overall he’s a very sweet, fun boy who will make a great companion and a buddy to have fun with. His foster says, “Quetzal is a sweet calm boy. He plays with other dogs and loves people. He would make a great dog for an active family with a dog who can lead him. He is two years old but still has a lot of puppy energy but when well exercised he is a great snuggly lap dog.
