My Story

Queenie's foster is committed to helping her find a home. To begin the adoption process, please reach out to her foster directly at: [email protected] How this pet arrived: Queenie was brought in by a community member. At SDHS:Queenie has been vaccinated, microchipped and is spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Meet sweet Queenie! We aren't positive, but we think she may be a mermaid trapped in an adorable dog's body - this girl is simply obsessed with water! When she's not playing in the sprinkler or drinking from the hose, she enjoys being close to her people, snuggling up on the couch and chewing on squeaky toys. If you want to feel like the most special person in the world, Queenie is your girl. That's because it takes her a little time to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, you'll be welcomed into Queenie's inner circle - and she'll reward your patience with LOTS of kisses and unwavering loyalty! Because she can be nervous in new surroundings with unfamiliar people, Queenie is looking for a calm home where she can settle in, feel safe and thrive. And back to Queenie's inner circle, she appreciates friends who will go at her pace and respect her boundaries, so an adult-only home would be best. Queenie wants to settle into a loving family more than anything, and she's just waiting for compassionate adopters who will give her the time she needs to shine. If you can offer her the patience, consistency, snuggles and fun water activities she needs to thrive, please reach out to her foster at [email protected]!
