My Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

Meet the Galaxy Litter. DNA says these puppies are lots of small breeds, with a hint of bigger dog. At just over 8 weeks, they are wee, in the 5-6# range, so we think they will be under 25# when full grown. Mommy Galaxy is a total scruff, it's hard to say how the puppy coats develop, and she's only 22# full grown.
Quasar is likely the runt and the smallest in the litter at about 4#. He's actually pretty adventurous and likes to explore. He's wee, but he is mighty - taking on his bigger siblings - his foster mom LOVES his attitude. He's friendly and outgoing... so silly. Due to his smaller size, we think children over 6 would be best.
At go home time, this puppy will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age. They will need more puppy shots at 12 weeks, and at 16 weeks. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!
Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.
Adoptions typically take place in Arlington. He is ready for his forever home.
Adoption fee is $475. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.
Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
