QTip will need a very special adopter as he is a special needs pup. He is about 1 year of age and has been in foster care since he arrived at the shelter as a stray. QTip is blind and has neurological issues. The neurological issues are maintaining right now but could worsen at any point in his life span. He needs to be constantly monitored to make sure he eats and drinks. QTip has issues walking, falls frequently and spins in circles all due to his neurological issue. Potential adopters need to be made aware of all the medical issues and need to show extensive prior vet history. He will need a home without children under 13 as he can be aggressive when something occurs that he does not like. QTip has an open fontanelle so needs to be monitored if around other dogs. He is not a lap dog at all and only wants to be held when he is sleeping. Although he has a lot of issues, he actually is a very playful and happy boy and has good quality of life. He LOVES crinkle toys the best and wants to eat all plastic bags! Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done.
