My Story

Last Hope is currently looking for experienced puppy volunteers to open their homes to a litter of puppies. They can be a lot of work and the whole family should agree to participate. We would have you start with puppies 10-12 weeks ( 2-3 of them) and gradually introduce you to younger pups and more of them. Last Hope provides puppy food, crates, and toys. You provide towels, cleaning supplies and newspaper. Must have a place that they can play without carpet. They do need a fenced in yard area to play too. They will wake you up early and sometimes will keep you up late. Families with school age kids make great fosters because they can help socialize them and play with them too. They can be 10 to 20 pounds each. The would be transferred to another foster home before becoming full grown. You will be required to bring your foster puppies to our adoption days every other Saturday from 11am until 2pm at the Apple Valley Petco The average time in a foster home is 3 weeks before they get adopted. If you love puppies, or even have another dog that would love a temporary playmate without any extra vet expense contact Last Hope right away. All dogs in your household must be spayed/neutered, current with shots and have the Bordetella vaccine for kennel cough. Should you fall in love with one of your fosters you would pay the listed adoption fee. If you are interested, email our office: [email protected] and we will send you more info about fostering for Last Hope & answer any questions you may have. We would love to have you on board; and so would the dogs that are waiting for a foster home in a cage somewhere! Last Hope, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that is a volunteer foster based no kill rescue. Policies: You do not have to have a fence to adopt a dog from us, but some dogs will require a fence or acres to play. Also, Since preschoolers are more likely to be bit, we do not place dogs in homes where children under the age of 4 are present. The Adoption Fee is not enough to cover the vet bills. Sales tax of almost 7% is also included in the adoption fee that you see. Please consider donating to Last Hope to help us save these animals! Can you foster? By accepting a dog or puppies into your home temporarily and then participating in our adoption days to help find them homes, Last Hope can save more. If you are interested in fostering please go to www.last-hope.org and fill out a foster application. Thank you
