DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Jasper! Jasper and his siblings (Pups Juno, Jinx, Jasmine and Jessie) were rescued from an overcrowded shelter in rural Virginia. Jasper is staying with a foster family while searching for his forever home. Could that be with you? Jasper is a happy puppy full of life and love. He is a little shy at first but will soon become your best friend. He loves everyone he meets and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. At his young age, Jasper is in his prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young puppies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best canine citizens they can be. Jasper is a bundle of joy waiting to bring happiness to a loving family. He would do great in an active home and promises to be the best buddy you've ever had. Submit an application today.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at
