My Story

Puggie has been adopted by the wonderful family who adopted another Senior Pei names Zack from TnT as well! What a happy day for two senior Pei!

Barbie was taken into a home where she has lived very happily with the name Puggie since her adoption from the shelter in 2006. The family is being transferred over-sees and cannot take Puggie.

Puggie is now in her later adult life, we think around 9 years old and the trip would be hard on her. Losing her family, the kids she adores and the good life they have given her will also be hard so her family has asked us to help find her a new home before they leave.

Puggie is great with all people and lives with children in her present home. She loves to play with the kids and fetches balls and toys. She is housebroken, clean, docile and lovely!

Please contact us to find out how to meet Puggie as she is not with TnT Rescue but with her family who we help to assist searching for a new home. New pix and a video to be posted soon! The photos here now are from her days in the shelter.

January 2006:

Barbie has headed to a new home! Yippee!

Barbie the Shar-pei lost her way and was found by the Abbotsford Animal Control in December. She is microchipped but her owners have declined to come and get her. Sadly Barbie sits at the shelter waiting for someone else to take her home now. It is also sad that Barbie most likely has had pups recently but has now been left behind by the people who bred her.

All the staff at the shelter think she is great and so does TnT Rescue who met her recently. She is playful, friendly and cute as can be.

Barbie has made a few K9 friends at the shelter but seems to prefer the smaller dogs. When she is out with the big dogs she is better with males as she feels the need to be dominant with other females. She is not aggressive but prefers to be the leader of the pack so a mellow and easygoing male dog to live with would be the best match. Barbie would also be fine living in a home without a K9 companion so she would not have to compete for your attention. She would love to be the center of your world and plans to make you hers if you take her home!
We don't know how Barbie likes cats or other small animals.

Barbie will be released to TnT Shar-pei Rescue if we can find a foster home to place her in temporarily. Unfortunately all our foster homes are full at the moment so we cannot take her out of the shelter. If you are interested in taking Barbie in until she finds a new permanent home please contact us here! She would love to be in a comfy bed by the fire in a foster home while waiting for her new family to find her.
