Pudge

Pudge wants so much to be loved and to love. He has had a rough time of it, came in from Animal Control because he was abandoned. His fur was so matted that it created skin abcesses. When Pudge first arrived he would snarl and huddle in the corner of his crate. He has come around somewhat and is progressing a little everyday but he is still unsure of who the nice people are. He is going in to a temporary foster home so that he can be observed in a home setting and we are hoping that with a little more time and love he will be ready for his forever home.If you are patient and have worked with difficult/scared dogs before and are looking for a dog who is in need, Pudge may be the one. Please no children or very active households.Pudge needs an experienced dog owner to come by and help him find his sweet personality again. Pudge could use a new foster home to work on his disposition, so if your an experienced foster home please contact us about Pudge.

If the dog is available and a possible match, you will be contacted by an Adoption Counselor who will review your lifestyle, expectations, and experience and guide your selection of the most appropriate pet. SARL reserves the right to refuse to adopt to any applicant. By requesting information on an animal and initiating the screening process, it is not a guarantee that particular animal is yours to adopt. SARL does not place our pets on a "first come, first served" basis. We only adopt to local candidates who are able to visit our shelter and never ship any of our pets regardless of the suitability of the prospective home.
