Princess

update 1/20/10 Princess, a 2-3 year old rat terrier mix (maybe a little hound, we don't know, but she is bigger than a rat terrier). She is house trained, quiet, and sweet as can be. She is trusting and loving. She ignores the resident cat in her foster home and has no food aggressions. It is obvious that being in a home is new to her, but she follows along and is getting the hang of it. She really likes playing in the snow and bounces about happily when on our walks. She has only chewed on her appropriate toys, which she likes very much, and just wants to cuddle and be touched and loved. She is a smart girl who is learning 'sit' and 'off' quickly. A bit shy at first, she warms up quickly to a gentle voice and loving touch.

Poor Princess, at only 2-3 yrs old, she has already had a tough life. Left outside and then abandoned with her young son (since adopted), she has had to protect and defend herself. You can see her 'war wounds' on her ears, where she is missing small pieces. She is such a sweet dog, loves to kiss and cuddle and deserves so much better than the hand she was dealt. She has done great with kids; sociable and lovable. Good with other dogs and would make a great family dog.
