My Story

Say hello to Prince, our 55 lb. Black Labrador Mix. We believe he was named Prince after his charming good looks! He is quite the handsome boy, if we do say so ourselves! Strong, handsome, sweet, and funny...he is basically the definition of a prince! Prince was born In January of 2021. He loves to play to outside but knows when it is time to relax inside and will plop down for a snooze. He's a very good boy! Prince is so gentle and sweet to everyone he meets. He really loves all humans and dogs alike and the feeling is mutual! He loves to play with just about any dog he is paired with. He goes to doggy daycare at Red Dog and Hounds Town and LOVES playing with the other dogs there! Prince is good on leash! He is a strong dog and would benefit from some basic leash training. He gets pretty happy and excited when he sees new critters on his walks so he will just need some redirecting. Could Prince be your knight in shining armor?! He has a lot of love to give and he will make someone very happy!! Please check back for updates as we get to know Prince better. Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application. *** Email [email protected] for next steps! *** • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
