Pretty Girl

COURTESY POSTING: A sweet Rottie/hound mix, named Pretty Girl...one year old, spayed, 38 lbs. What a wonderfully submissive and sweet temperament this little girl has. Rescued from a high kill shelter in Athens Georgia, it is quite evident after meeting Pretty Girl, why the shelter staff pleaded with me so to save her life and transport her to NH. She is an absolute sweetheart and a delight to be around! This little darling had a litter of pups awhile ago, so will soon regain her youthful figure. PG has been with me in my home for several weeks now and I can say with confidence that she is one of the best tempered, most obliging dogs I've ever known. She has quickly learned basic manners and is house and crate trained. Mostly Rottweiler and hound, PG could also have a bit of shepherd and pit. Being as submissive as she is, Pretty Girl will make a lovely, trusted companion for another dog. She has gotten along beautifully with my larger Rottweiler mix and other rescue dogs, both large and small. I would expect PG to do fine with all respectful, dog-savvy children. Pretty Girl enjoys chasing chippies, so may enjoy the same with cats. At a recent adoption event, I learned just how well socialized PG is. She handled the entire day like a pro! Meeting adults and children alike, she never got nervous or anxious and greeted every passer-by with her happy-to-see-you smile and full body wag!
