My Story

MUST HAVE A FENCED YARD Precious and her sister GG (Golden Girlie) are both puppy mill mommas, coming to the rescue hoping for a chance at a long, normal life, outside of a breeding pen. They're learning to live in a house and to get used to humans; other dogs are no sweat. The girls have made a lot of progress with their foster family. They both love ear scritches and to sit near their humans. Precious especially likes to roll over for belly scratches. They travel well in a car and are getting used to their foster family's lake house. They've been learning to sit and come and are treat motivated. They run into their pen together at night when mom says it's time for bed, waiting for their reward for being good girls. Precious is almost there with her potty training but will need reinforcement at her new home, as dogs don't always generalize well. They will need a fenced home, as they are still scared on a leash, and learning that will come secondary to needing potty breaks. They don't mind when mom picks them up to carry them to the groomer or to the car, Because of their smaller size, DIY fence panels or a temporary fence setup will likely work but their future adopters should have a plan that doesn't rely on their leash. They love to roam the yard, chase, and wrestle each other and their foster sibling dogs. Seeing them experience joy is rewarding and their future families will need to be patient with them as they get to know their homes and family. They will need to warm up to you and trust you before giving and receiving affection. They would love to be adopted together, they're used to relying on each other for comfort and friendship. They both just turned 2 years old, Precious is a bit bigger than her sister, weighing in at 29lbs. **Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee.
