Prancer is quite the little lady. She's gentle, loving, likes to sit on your lap to be petted but is also content to lay by herself. She likes to be outside. Gets excited when she sees you putting on your jacket or shoes, because she is anticipating going for a loo-oo-ooong walk. She walks very nicely on the leash and manages to stay clean and dry, even in this mucky weather. All you need to do is wipe her paws when you come in the door and she waits to have that done and have her leash removed. Interacts well with the kids that are always outside. She'd do well in a house with another dog, is a bit cautious about approaching another dog but once the initial hesitation is overcome she's off and running. She trots right into her kennel and waits to be covered up. Doesn't make any noise in the morning until she hears you moving around. And then she's VERY excited to see you again!
Prancer and Petunia accept being kennelled when we're out and can't take them with us. No messes in the kennel. No anxiety. No destructive behaviours. Both can be handled while they are eating without danger of being bitten.
Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!
Definitions:
Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)
On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).
Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!ent with this boy.
