Hi, Im Pop! Please fur-give me for being forward, but if you want a smart and goofy shadow, then Im your dog. Im almost two and I like playing and snuggling in about equal measure. Im looking for an active family with older dog-savvy kids who can continue my training and help me be my best self. I currently live with a resident dog brother and we play a lot so a dog sibling with a playful spirit would be a bonus. Ill do anything for a treat! Ive passed my Level 1 Scent Work class and Im about to get my Novice Trick Dog title. Ive learned commands like wait, find it, shake, high five, spin, and turn around. I am passionate about anything involving a ball, even if its just holding it in my mouth until youre ready to play fetch (or until I fall asleep). I love being in the water! Whether its wading in the creek or playing fetch in the lake, Im happiest when Im splashing around. In the summer, I like going to the lake with my foster mom on a long leash to play catch. I dote on my family, happily following you around the house or sitting nearby. I'm great at keeping you company while you work, but Ill sneak onto your lap by dinner time to remind you it's time to hang out together. I do fine in my kennel as long as I can see you and my anxiety meds are helping me be comfortable even when youre not around. I get a little anxious on walks when I see people or dogs so I need someone who can keep working on this with me. My foster mom is teaching me to look at her and Im learning turn left and turn right on our walks to help keep me focused. Because I sometimes have big feelings I need slow, patient introductions to people and dogs. It takes me some time to warm up but once I do, youre part of my pack forever. Although I have met some cats, I would do better in a home without them as I just want to chase them like a squirrel.
