Pips

Pips is a 2 year old, male, lab/hound/pit mix. He's had a rough start, but when he warms up to you (usually about 20 minutes), he loves cuddles and booty scratches. He's a very affectionate and silly boy. He is good with cats, but we recommend him to be the only dog in the home. He has not yet been tested with children, but we think he'll be fine with respectful children over 8. (He's visiting with children the weekend of 5/17). Pips has been very fortunate to receive professional training during his foster stay. He is housebroken, walks on a loose leash, and has the following commands: sit, leave it, drop it, here. He's been very good for grooming. His favorite activities (in order) are cuddling, nose work, and walks. He's a very smart boy and picks up new tricks quickly. He's still a little nervous at times, but is getting better every day. As a side note, I love this little boy a lot. If the house wasn't already so full of dogs, he'd happily stay. I volunteer to watch him if his forever family needs a sitter. I'd also love it if he could occasionally visit with his brother. Cindi Stone, the dog trainer, has volunteered to train him for free in his new home to help him adjust.
