My Story

If you are looking for cute, quirky, active and have lots of love to give then Piper is your girl! This adorable girl is a 2 year old, 35#, chow mix with an adorable wagging tail and shiny soft coat. She is active and always aware of what is going on as she doesn’t want to miss anything. Lol She has been living in one of our Texas foster homes for several months while waiting for her turn to travel to Ohio to find her furever home. Piper is a real sweetheart with a curious yet nosy personality that loves people, kids and exploring outside. She loves lots of pets and hugs and will give you the best kisses in return. Piper lights up when kids are around but we feel best if children are 5+ as she loves to jump, run and play and could knock a younger one down. Piper would be happiest in a home where she is the pampered princess receiving all the attention. She has shown some interest in playing with other male dogs but tends to be more interested in her person(s). Piper is a definite companion dog that wants to be by your side and is up for anything when it includes you! Piper has a tendency to want to chase small things so not cats or other small animals. She is just very curious to anything that moves and will even try to play with frogs and toads! She loves to go for walks and does well on leash. Piper is fully housetrained. While in our care Piper has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, heartworm tested, spayed and microchipped. If you would like to welcome Piper to the family, please email us at [email protected] for the link to our application. Questions? Please email is us at [email protected] We are all volunteers with jobs and families in addition to our rescue dogs. We do our best to respond to application requests within 24 hours but please be patient as we are short staffed. Applicants under 25 years of age will need to demonstrate an adult lifestyle. If you rent your home we require a letter from the landlord submitted with your application granting permission for a pet. A secured fenced yard is preferred and for many of our dogs is required.
