My Story
Meet Piper!
Piper is a young female, Lab / Hound / Doberman / Husky mix! She is around 40lbs and just about nine months old (as of July 2024).
Piper is a sweet, adventurous, and playful puppy who is potty and crate trained, and is continuing to work on puppy manners in her foster home. She is incredibly smart and thrives off of consistency.
While Piper is still working on her manners (she is a puppy, after all), she has done great with both cats and elementary-school-aged kids she has met!
Piper LOVES hiking, swimming, and playing in water. She also loves shredding cardboard and chewing on her benebones when she needs some alone time.
She can be slow to warm up to other dogs (and some men) but hasn't met one she hasn't come around to- she just needs a little help and patience, and she's worth it! Piper would likely also do well in a home where she's the only dog, and can have lots of one-one-one attention.
Piper and the rest of our P puppy litter (who have all been adopted) came from an owner surrender situation in December. Sadly, they did not have their companion pets at home spayed or neutered, ended up with an accidental litter of pups and no financial means or ability to care for them. As a no-kill animal rescue, we are happy to help find forever homes for puppies in need like these guys. Please remember how often this type of situation happens and like Bob Barker, PLEASE spread the word about how important it is to have your pets spayed and neutered!
