Meet Piglet the Warrior! Piglet is a bit of a celebrity at the rescue. He was found as a stray in Texas, and put on the 72 hour hold list, meaning he basically had 72 hours until found or adopted, before something unspeakable happened. I knew we had to save him. This boy had only been alive for a year, and deserved a chance. He had severe mange, ulcers on both corneas, his feet were so swollen you could not even see his toes. DCTR paid for his vetting, neuter, medication, and fosters got him healthy enough for transport to NH. Piglet arrived and was very shy, he could not see well as he needed entropion surgery, which is when his eyelashes grew into his eyes instead of outward. We were not told this prior to his arrival. He received surgery at New England Veterinary Ophthalmology in Manchester, healed quickly, and is now ready to conquer the world! He gets oatmeal baths to help with his skin, he's not a great fan of these, but loves the towel dry! He loves car rides, being with his person, talking walks with his pals, and would do just about anything for a treat! Come meet this great guy, he would love to finally have a home of his own!
