Piglet is 17 weeks old in these pictures taken March 22, 2008. He and his three siblings, Hammy, Scooter, and Tipper, as well as their mom, Zoe, are in foster homes.
Mom, Zoe, had always been kept out on a chain with little protection and sometimes no food or water. The neighbors would watch out for her and helped by giving food and water. Zoe was taken in by those same neighbors when they noticed that her owners had just left her when they moved.
Zoe was pregnant and gave birth to the four puppies (Tipper, Scooter, Hammy, and Piglet) on Thanksgiving Day 2007. The neighbors are keeping her and two of her puppies until we can place them. An LP volunteer has the other two puppies until we can place them.
UPDATE - March 25, 2008: From Piglet's foster parents: Piglet is such a love bug. He is doing well on the leash and rides great in the car. Playing with toys brings him lots of joy and he is working on learning fetch. He is housebroken and it has been a week or so since his last accident in the house.
NOTE: All of the puppies and Zoe are in a foster home. A completed and processed application is required before an appointment will be made to see them. Thank you for your understanding.
