Meet Pie! Pie is a 5 year old female mini Australian Shepherd. She is “cute as pie”! Pie is an owner surrender who has come to PMRT through not fault of her own, just changes in her current home. Pie is your typical Aussie who wants nothing more than to play fetch as much as possible. Pie is fully crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. Pie does do okay with other dogs but prefers to be the one in charge. She’s never had an issue with cats in the home. A home with slightly older children who don’t initiate her desire to herd would be okay. Pie does have an extremely mild case of megaesophagus that is managed with very minimal lifestyle changes. She does not require any medications or a bailey chair. Her dry food is blended into a powder and mixed with water in a shaker bottle to a smoothie consistency. She eats this mixture off a small table while standing on her back legs but does not require any upright time after. Pie is NOT spayed due to this condition per her previous vet’s opinion.
