Petunia is an absolutely adorable and gentle 10-12 month old 100lb Saint Bernard girl who was rescued from one of the more horrific situations. Her previous owner decided that he no longer wanted her anymore, so instead of simply trying to find her a home, he drove her to the local Walmart where he had her tied to the back of the truck, and he started driving off with her HANGING from the back of the pick up! Horrified shoppers rushed over and one good person grabbed the dog and told him if he didn't release her to the rescuer, she was going to call the police. The guy gave her poor Petunia and took off. The lady contacted our rescue, barely able to talk on the phone, begging us to take her and get her somewhere safe, away from these types of tragedies we see on a weekly basis... there was no way we could turn her down. Petunia is a sweet gentle girl who deserves SO much more than the life she had been given previously. She's a fantastic dog that will be a great addition to just about any home. Due to her size, we think she would be best with a home with kids over the age of 5 and dogs 25lbs or more, as that would be more fun for her to play with. Petunia is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped and comes with a free month of pet insurance. Adoption fee $350.

Please fill out an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. The rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
