Hi there! My name is Petra, and I'm here to share my story with you. I came into the shelter as a stray with my sister, Patra. We're inseparable, sharing our kennel and keeping each other company through the ups and downs of shelter life. At just over a year old, I still have that playful puppy spirit, but the shelter was a bit overwhelming at first. The loud noises and constant activity made me nervous, and I wasn't sure what to make of it all. But slowly, with the kindness of the workers and volunteers, I've started to come out of my shell. I've discovered that I really love being scratched, petted, and talked to. There's something so comforting about a gentle hand and a soothing voice. Now, I find myself looking forward to those moments of attention and affection. I crave them, and I've learned to trust the people here who care for me. Of course, like any dog, I absolutely adore going outside and playing. Whether it's a game of fetch, a romp in the yard, or just a leisurely stroll, being outdoors is the highlight of my day. The fresh air and open space make me feel free and happy, and I can't get enough of it. I'm also very gentle when it comes to treats. I take them with care, making sure to show my gratitude for every little snack I receive. It's a small thing, but it makes me feel special and loved. Life in the shelter isn't always easy, but I'm hopeful. I've warmed up to the wonderful people here, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I dream of a place where I can continue to grow, play, and share my love with a family who will cherish me as much as I will cherish them.
