PEPPER ADOPTED Pepper is doing great and is settling in after being picked up from the shelter on 8/10/06. Pepper is young (I'll guess 1 1/2-2-white teeth just beginning to get tartar on the molars), a little thin but muscular. This girl just oozes happiness and playfulness! Take a look at those photos! Her coat is abundantly spotted and also has a lot of ticking. Has some scratches and scrapes from being on the run. Ran sprints around the yard but would come over to me and would sit quickly when asked. She was filthy-I gave her a bath and found one flea (maybe already dead) and one unattached tick.Gets along with all the guys/girl, at least through the fence and crate. She's been in the yard with her current foster brother Chief. She probably hasn't played with dogs since she was a pup. Has mingled with all the others in the house, too without any incidents. She is interested in Chief-maybe because they played together. She eats well-went to the back door when she needed to pee. Paws at the crate when she knows I'm around, but settles down if I leave the area. Well trained. No matter how excited she is in the crate, when I open the door, she does not bolt or try to push me out of the way. She knows sit, come and even stay! Submissive to me-she rolls over on her belly for rubs alot. Comes over to me often for pets and to give me a few kisses. Trotted around the house this morning to check it out but is now laying quietly a few feet away. Pepper will be brought up to date on her shots, rabies and will need to be rechecked to see if she has been spayed. If she hasn't been spayed yet she will soon be. She is a good girl, doing a waiting period to make sure that she didn't come down with kennel cough from the shelter before getting her spayed. Crate trained, house trained, comes when called, knows basic commands sit, come, and stay. Pepper is up to date on shots, rabies shot and is due to be spayed on September 20th. Pepper is HW-! Yahoo! Currently Pepper is being fostered in Maryland but as space opens up in other foster homes she may be moved. If you would like additional information on Pepper please contact Debbie at
