Pennie

Pennie was found wandering on a very busy highway and she had apparently been living on her own for quite some time. Her coat was in such bad shape, it was necessary to shave her. Her little nose was also completely raw but is healing nicely. We have no idea how such a sweet girl ended up out on her own -- attempts to locate an owner were unsuccessful. She was so sad and depressed when she came into rescue, it was heartbreaking. However, in her new foster home, she's discovered that life and people can be good. She's really hoping someone will forgive the fact that she's a little older dog than they may be looking for, and give her a chance to live out the rest of her life in her own home where she is safe and loved. We strive to place our shelties in the best possible home for them, which means we reserve the right to turn down any applicant if we feel they are not a good match for the sheltie they want.
