My Story

Pele was named after a famous soccer player—but he does not play soccer! Fetch with a ball, yes! A GREAT retriever, in fact, but Pele is more of an animal activist-- having not been trained to point, and being gun shy! Pele is an English Shorthair Pointer, a family pet, and VERY GENTLE! A beautiful 2 ½ year-old boy, both in his heart and to look at—not a mean bone and HOUSETRAINED. He responds to affection with sheer devotion, and all he wants is a family to love and who will love him back all his life. Very good with children and extremely social with other dogs. He loves to play tug of war with a rope toy, but loves best to be next to his master—sometimes it seems he is trying to communicate! Used to car travel, is very calm and an excellent traveler, settles down to sleep. He is a delightful wuss! And that face—you will love him right away, those eyes will melt your heart! He has one fault—he does not heel very well, but likes to pull on his leash—even tho he knows what “heel” means! But you can work on that! His family are moving from a house to an apartment, where they do not accept dogs. Pele is neutered, shots updated, etc. Pele is a national treasure and so is OUR Pele!
