My Story
Peewee came to Bully Buddies shy, spotted with mange, and limping on a broken leg. She was not yet 4 months old, but she sure was a bit worse for wear. Foster mom Emily put quick work to catching Peewee up on her missed socialization, and soon she was blossoming into a brave little Pit Bull. She refined her LOVE for car rides, and couch lounging. Even better, her once dubious looking leg continued to heal amazingly well, as did her mange spots.
The Clark family was searching for the right pooch to join their family, and having previously owned a Staffordshire in England, they knew just how great these dogs are. Peewee is loving the kids in her new home, and is sporting a new pink raincoat!
Thank-you to Emily and Co for fostering her, Trenant Park Pet Clinic for figuring out her leg for us, and to the Clark's for giving her a home of her own.
Update April 13- Great news for Peewee! Her leg is healing very well, and she does not need surgery for it. She will need some continued physio for a couple more months, and will have a stiffer leg, but she is doing great! Peewee is now ready to find a home of her own.
What can you say about a dog so cute that you just want to squish her? To meet Peewee is to fall madly in love.
Peewee is an endearing little girl (and we mean little, she is one small, stout lil girl!) who is just learning about the world. She was never socialized past her backyard, so everything is new, and slightly worrisome. In true Pit Bull bravado, she is perpetually hopeful and is quickly learning all about this world. Her foster folks are taking her everywhere, and she is making huge strides! She loves the foster folks other dogs, and is learning from fellow Bully Buddies pup Bentley. She is also getting used to horses, cats and even a miniature donkey! She is not very livestock smart though, and even tried kissing the horses feet, so she needs to be closely supervised for her own safety!
Peewee came to us with a badly healed broken leg, right at the joint. At this point we are watching her leg to see how she does as she grows. She will likely be getting it fused together. She will never be a running companion (she is far to lazy anyways) but she is a lovely pet. Peewee also has a minor case of mange that she is receiving holistic treatment for. Peewee is looking for a great home where we will continue to cover the medical expenses for her leg. A home that will love this tiny, stout gremlin for all she is.
