PEEKABOO

Peekaboo is a charming, delicate 7-pound, 2-year-old Yorkie mix. Both cute and beautiful with her black-button eyes and heart-shaped nose, Peeky traveled a rough road to get to a shelter: She was stray and starving and nearly bald in the big city. She is incredibly loving and devoted to familiar people, but is still timid with strangers. In her foster home, Peeky is diffident with large dogs and with cats; she is wildly playful with small dogs. Now normal weight, this snuggly snowflake still needs time and security, and most of all love, to learn that strangers can be as kind as family. Her coat is growing dense and long, and is softening. Peeky wants more than anything to be a round-the-clock companion to one or two special, gentle people. A little patience from her family will pay off with a lot of empathic charm and lifelong loyalty. She would enjoy the company of other tiny canines. Although currently timid, she is a Yorkie: A spunky terrier with energy and opinions. Peeky is nondestructive and polite. She will go out to potty (but should be supervised outside because she is petite) or will use a puppy pad, but she will undoubtedly need guidance in a new home. She sleeps quietly at the foot of her foster parents' bed. In short, Peekaboo will blossom to become the ridiculously adorable and steadfast friend she is in her foster home.
