Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Pebbles. She is a boxer/shep mix with a medium-length coat. Pebbles was surrendered along with her brother Bam Bam and Laxton by a family in the First Nations Community who wanted a better life for them. We estimate that Pebbles may reach 60lbs when fully grown.
This sweet girl is just adorable. She has so much love to give to a new family. Pebbles is nice and quiet and very intelligent. She has a hefty appetite and is fed three times daily a mixture of Loveabowl and Royal Canin Large Breed Puppy Food. She plays very nicely with other puppies and never has disagreements with them. She enjoys small toys, but larger-sized balls, etc seem to frighten her, She loves to roll in the grass as she was used to being an outdoor dog. She now knows the comforts of a family home and is not a bother.
Pebbles sleeps through the night on a Karunda Bed. She likes it cool. She does well in the bathtub and in the vehicle in a crate. Pebbles is heavier than she looks. She is a little on the shy side but has done well having other confident dogs around her.
The ideal home for Pebbles is more on the quiet side. Her confidence level will increase with continued structured routines. Comings and goings of various family members throughout the day may confuse her. She does enjoy children.
Pebbles has had her first and second series of vaccines, including Lepto and Lyme. She will be microchipped shortly. On April 26, she weighed 12.5kg at 14 weeks.
UPDATE: Final set of vaccines given on May 18. She weighed 17.1 kg.
A fully fenced yard or farm is mandatory to apply for our Pebbles!
