My Story

PEBBLES HAS BEEN ADOPTED! THANKS COTY FAMILY OF RI! Pebbles is a female Shepherd/Whippet mix estimated at 6 mths of age. Pebbles was found in the Peebles parking lot in Louisa. She was first spotted on a Sunday morning and no coaxing or bribing was getting her to get into the car so food and water was left for her. From there on, for the next week, several Humane Society members worked to make her secure enough to come with us and finally, on Labor Day, Pebbles was caught and brought to the shelter. Though a little shy and timid at first, she has really blossomed in the short time she has been at the shelter. Pebbles is smaller in size, weighing 25-30 lbs. She may get a bit larger but she is not going to be a big dog. Her features are very petite. She always has a comical look on her face and has very subtle brindle markings over her body and freckling on her feet. She has become a shelter favorite in her short time with us. Pebbles (a play off of the name "Peebles" where she was found) has been started on vaccinations and dewormings. She loves to hang out with a Black Lab mix mommy at the shelter named Brandi as they are very similar in size and temperament but Pebbles gets along well with everyone. To find out more about Pebbles, please contact the shelter between 9-3 MOn-Thurs, 9-4 Fri at (606) 673-4509 or after hours/weekends, call Kim Perry at (606) 638-0512 or email [email protected]. Call for a quicker response.
