My Story

We are so excited to announce that Peanut has been placed in a foster-to-adopt home! He has been in search for the perfect home for so long and have already heard from his new mom about how smitten she is with him. YAY Peanut!

Here is an update from Peanut's new mom: Just an update for you on my handsome new boy. He seems to be quite content here. He has met 3 dogs in the building and has liked all of them especially a 10 month old pit bull female named Roxie. On our walks he is a true gentleman. He approaches everyone one with a wagging tail and a gentle nudge for a pat. I have to say he is quite the star in the neighbourhood. As for barking dogs, he certainly looks around to find out where the noise is coming from but he's pretty easy to redirect for the most part. His appetite is slowly improving..thank goodness. A bit of chicken stock goes a long way in making his kibble tasty. I found that turkey pepperoni is his favorite snack. I use it for his "good boy" treats. We went to see Lisa (the trainer). Peanut was very good....me, I need some work. Isn't that always the way? The people need more training than the animals usually. Peanut does very well at home while I'm at work. I have stopped by to take him for a pee break which his bladder appreciates I'm sure. Before I go I hide pieces of pepperoni around the condo and Peanut is way too busy sniffing them out to notice me gone. Sadly he won't dig them out of his Kong toy. Peanut (yep he seems to respond to that name so it stays) is a wonderful guy! I am so lucky to have him in my life. I'll keep you posted.... All the best, Laurie PS He likes having a bath...even lets me wash between his toes :-)

Peanut is a 5 year old laidback gentleman. He loves lazy strolls and couch time. He also enjoys dressing up as a pirate because he only has one eye now which makes him feel alot better as his other eye had medical problems that could not be corrected. Peanut is a Hurricane Katrina survivor who also survived a bout of heartworm. He had a rough past and is now looking for his forever home. Peanut is the kind of dog you fall deeply in love with. He is so soulful. Everyone who meets him literally adores him. Peanut's ideal home would be a quiet, laidback one with no other animals. One where he gets lots of loving. He would do best in an adult-only home, or one with older children. A home with a nice fenced yard would be ideal. Does Peanut sound like your one and only?

He would be an excellent match for a single person, or working couple. Fine being left home alone, and would do well in a townhouse or apartment. He is best off as the only pet, or with an easy-going female dog.

If so please fill out an application at: http://www.bullybuddies.net/adoptioninfo.htm He really enjoys car rides, cuddles, and laid-back walks. He is affectionate and charming, and such a dear.
