My Story

Peanut is a gentle and sweet female spayed 14 yr. Spaniel mix. She is here with her friend Hershey because their former owner went into a nursing home and won't be returning to her home. She has a gentle spirit and was a bit confused on why she and her buddy are at the shelter after knowing one loving home for their whole life. But in a few days they both adjusted just fine. At 30 pounds, Peanut is not a large dog. Peanut and Hershey find themselves alone for the first time in their life. A beautiful dog, Peanut seems healthy and she is very sweet, they are loving and playful Senior girls. The person who surrendered them was a relative of their former owner and they said that they believe that Peanut and Hershey have had regular vet visits. They both love to be in the doggy play-yard with the other dogs, playing ball and interacting. They both also crave human contact, Peanut will sit by you all day long if she could!

In fact, many people may say, 'Oh, they are 14 yrs. old...they'd probably not adjust'. NOT TRUE!! They have adjust just fine, amazingly! Peanut and Hershey are just about the nicest dogs in the world! They are adorable...we LOVE them! Peanut and Hershey are lovers with lovely temperaments.

They have known a family and love their whole life, and hope will be lucky again with a second chance. They are praying someone with a Big Heart will come and meet each of them and take the time to give a couple of Senior Ladies a new family. All she wishes is to have a family to call her own. If you are looking for a devoted, kind calm pet, please consider adopting Peanut Or Hershey Or Both!

Peanut is a Senior Program Rate of $30 or Buddy with her friend Hershey at Both for $40.

Check out their video! They are all of the staff's and volunteer's favorite dogs!
