My Story

Peanut is a beautiful, sweet girl who was found as a stray in a peanut field in the Valdosta area. A family took care of Peanut for awhile, but their dog refused to accept her as a new addition to their family, so the family contacted the Humane Society in Valdosta who contacted BHRG. Peanut is tri-colored and is only about 1 year old. She tested positive for heartworms and will begin treatment soon. Peanut is housetrained, but when she goes to the door, she needs to go out right then - she can't hold it. She is getting along fine with the other basset in her foster home and behaves well with children too! For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
