My Story

Say hello to Peanut! Some of you may remember her as "Wheelie Nelson", the sweet girl who was abandoned at Prescott's outdoor movie night at the courthouse plaza on May 17. Her stray hold has expired, her spay is scheduled (June 26), and she's officially adoptable. The vet estimates her to be about 9 years old. Peanut is a special needs girl. She doesn't have full use of her back legs, though she does have feeling in them and sometimes tries to stand. She's unable to urinate on her own, so her bladder needs to be expressed every eight hours. This is not as hard or intimidating as it sounds, and is easy to learn. Peanut is also mostly blind. She seems to see light, shadows, and possibly fuzzy shapes. She relies on her hearing and the sound of your voice to find you. She loooooves her humans and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. Cats and children are unknown. She's speedy on only two legs, and is strong, feisty, and fierce. If interested in making Peanut your very own, please complete a pre-adoption application using the link below. https://www.yavapaihumanetrappers.org/preadoption...
