My Story

Paulina is one of 7 puppies who were found by a busy road in Puerto Vallarta. They were in major danger being there, so we were asked to help them. All the pups from this litter are extremely dog and human social. They have zero fears and are super adorable. The mom is around 40 lbs. but dad is unknown so we can’t fully predict their size but likely to be medium. For more information go to adogsnewlife.org/paulina Adoption process: Our rescue is located near Bucerias Mexico. We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada. The first step is to submit an application on our website here: https://www.adogsnewlife.org/adopt Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check. If your application is approved and the dog is located in Mexico, we will collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available. Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home. (We can provide more detailed information about this process to adopters upon request.) Before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup. If for some reason things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them. A few notes about our pups: - Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming unless otherwise stated. Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained but in a new environment they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area. We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training. - We can send more videos/pictures of our dogs. Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter. - Our dogs are given de-wormer, tested negative for heartworm (unless otherwise noted), are up to date on required vaccines for travel, and receive regular flea and tick treatment. They have also been evaluated by our vet who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue. --Last, but not least, we LOVE our dogs, and we hope you do too. They have hearts of gold and so much love to give. Please be kind and patient with them; they are worth it! It takes time to adjust to new people and new places.
