Paul

Paul is a 5 month old Thai Ridgeback/Terrier/Retriever mix who was rescued along with his siblings from a garbage dump. He was recently adopted by a woman in Rhode Island. He arrived safely with no issues in mid September 06. After a few days it appears he started testing the boundaries in his new home and most likely determined he could easily be top dog with a little show of teeth and agression. In his foster home in Bangkok he was not top dog and was consistently put in his place by the humans in the household; here he thrived and was a well adjusted puppy.

The lady who has adopted him is not able to cope with Paul's new- found behavior and is unwilling to get the behavior modification help that Paul desperately needs. We’ve talked with our behavior/training expert here in Bangkok (US trained Western K9 professional) and we are all in agreement that an owner who is willing to get some behavior help and obedience training will be able to turn Paul into a great dog pretty quickly. Four of his siblings are currently in loving homes (1 in the States, 3 in Bangkok) and doing really well. Paul really deserves this chance too.

So, this is where our request for help comes in…..we urgently need someone to help foster Paul while we continue to search for the right home for him. If you know of anyone who would be able to provide a good foster or permanent home to Paul, where he will get the leadership, training and exercise necessary to turn him into the type of pet we know he can be, please let us know.
