Hi there! My name is Patra, and I'd love to share my story with you. I came to the shelter as a stray with my sister, Petra. We've been through a lot together, and sharing a kennel with her makes everything a little bit easier. We're like two peas in a pod, always looking out for each other. I'm just over a year old, so I still have a lot of that playful, puppy energy. When we first arrived at the shelter, I was really nervous. All the loud noises and the constant hustle and bustle were overwhelming. But as time passed, I started to warm up to the kind workers and volunteers who spend time with us. I've discovered that I absolutely love being scratched, petted, and talked to. There's something so reassuring about a gentle hand and a kind voice. Now, I find myself eagerly awaiting those moments when I get some one-on-one attention. It's like a little slice of heaven in the midst of the shelter chaos. Going outside to play is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it's running around in the yard, playing fetch, or just exploring, being outdoors makes me feel so free and happy. The fresh air and open space are such a wonderful break from the kennel. I've also learned to take treats very gently. I make sure to show my appreciation for every little snack I get. It's a small gesture, but it's my way of saying thank you to the people who care for me. While the shelter has been a safe haven for me and Petra, I dream of finding a forever home. A place where I can continue to grow, play, and share my love with a family who will cherish me as much as I will cherish them.
