Patches

Patches is a very special girl. She was living in an outdoor kennel on cement in the rain at an animal control facility in Tennessee. But, the worst part was that she was pregnant and ready to give birth any day. Local rescues were unable to take her, so Pilots 'n Paws flew her to Iowa. She gave birth to 9 puppies the day she arrived at her foster home. Patches has been an excellent mother and wonderful foster dog. She enjoys the adults and children in her foster home, as well as the other dogs. Patches is definitely in charge of the other dogs, which could be because she is guarding her puppies. But, once outside, away from her pups, she is quite playful. Patches will need a home with a fenced yard and an active family. Patches is approximately 2 years old and weighs 40 lbs. She is no longer nursing her pups and has been spayed.
