A fun family to play with, feed me treats, give belly rubs and snuggles, and help teach me how to be a good boy. My sister and I were rescued from a rural ND pound in June and within 48 hours we got sick. The rescue rushed us to the emergency vet where I fought for my life for 7 long days. We had Parvovirus and it was awful. My sister got lucky and didn't have to stay at the hospital as long as me, BUT I met some amazing humans who took great care of me while I was so sick. I could tell they liked me so I would make my eyes big and sad, that seemed to make them like me even more! I get to go visit my vet care team as soon as I'm ready for adoption! My foster family is taking great care of me. I was very skinny when I came home from the Evet, and it took my ears 12 days to perk back up. I feel much better now and so glad that it is over. There are some other dogs here, but they don't play with me as much as my sister does. I've been learning how to live in a house, and I LOVE it! They keep bringing me outside to potty though, whatever that means. My favorite way to get my foster mom's attention is to look her in the eyes and melt or flop down right in front of her. When she tells me how cute I am, I put my paw over my face to play coy. I love stuffy toys that squeak and crinkle, Benebones are fun to chew on too. I know how to sit and lay down for treats and will keep doing those two things over and over until my foster mom gives treats. She especially likes it when I keep all 4 of my paws on the floor. She makes me work for some of my meals, but I actually like doing it. I don't mind being in a kennel and I sleep there quietly all night. I also prefer to eat meals in my kennel where other animals won't try to take it from me. I like it here but can't help but wonderis MY family out there waiting to love me?
