Pamela is spayed, fully vetted, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. She actually comes when she is called! She is a very quick learner because she wants to please. She is crate trained, leash trained (a twelve-year-old can walk her), housetrained, car trained, bath trained—everything but cat trained.
Pamela is very forgiving. She was adopted on February 2, 2007, by people who were really wild about her. I do not know what happened, but their phone number is no longer working, and Pamela was found at large on Pearland Parkway around 20 February 2008. Happily, the microchip registration had not been changed so I got her back. The folks who had her kept her in good condition and health and plainly worked at training her, so she is well settled. She recognized me, though, and was quite confident to get into my car to go home to await a new assignment—one, she hopes, this time will be permanent.
Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
